So I quit Japanese school yesterday. I went there for eight and a half years, every Saturday. Long time.
It's not a class; it's really like a school where everyone who goes there are ethnically at least half Japanese, the teachers are all from Japan, and all the textbooks are in Japanese and Japanese only. But I saw no point in continuing. I wasn't learning anything after Year Six and I stopped trying, I didn't really like anyone there nor was liked, and overall I realized it was the shittiest hellhole I can spend my Saturday at.
But just because I quit the school doesn't mean I'm gonna dump Japanese; my knowledge of the language's extremely valuable to me and I'll continue studies on my own to avoid losing what I've learned as much as possible.

So now I have an extra free day to do something actually valuable. What am I gonna use my time for?
Of course art.
I keep telling people how I want to become a character designer and/or graphic designer but it's a really, really narrow entrance and I'm definitely not gonna make it if I keep slacking off and keep telling myself I can always do it tomorrow. Look, I haven't submitted anything for an year. And I'm tired of seeing the same things on my page whenever I check it. I really really need to get going with this like right now. It's what I want to do in the future after all.
So I will be more active on dA. I need to be more active on dA. To start off, I'll submit something this week. It'll probably not be great but it's so much better than nothing.
Right now my best friend and I are looking for an art class that we can attend together. We both can really use it.

I wanted to write this journal to make sure I stay dedicated and keep my words.
No more running away. No more procrastination.
